These are some not-so-famous Roald Dahl books that I like just as much (if not a little more) than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and The Giant Peach. I even love these books so much that I have read them multiple times. I hope you find a new book of Roald Dahl's that you would like to read and laugh at these hilarious books.

1. Matilda: This is probably one of my favorite books written by him, even though it gets shadowed by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It is so creative fun and well written that I am just lost in the book every time I read it. It is about a genius 1st grader (Matilda), who tries to get revenge on her mean and uncaring parents. She also tries to help her teacher, Mrs. Honey gain her house and wealth back with her telepathic brain powers. It is a great book that is one of the best he's written. (5 stars)

2. The Witches: I like books about transformations, so I immediately liked this book the second I picked it up. It is really well written and has a really interesting, edge-of-your-seat plot. This one actually surprised me with a twist in the plot and it is fun to watch the young boy adapt to his new life that the witches transform him into. It wouldn't be as good of a book if it hadn't been written by Roald Dahl with his fascinating way of making the reader feel like they are inside the narrators head. (4 and a half stars)

3. George's Marvelous Medicine: I read this book when I was in Oxford, England and while I was excited to read it, I didn't expect it to be this good. I love revenge stories like the Revenant, so when George decided to get revenge on his devious grandma by substituting her regular medicine with a concoction of his own, grandma gets a nasty surprise. This is probably one of my favorite short stories ever and a must-read for all Roald Dahl lovers. (4 and a half stars)

4. Fantastic Mr. Fox: Another short story by Roald Dahl and an extremely funny book. This is and imaginative story about a fox that outsmarts not one or two, but three mean famers to get food for his family and all of the other animals on the farm. I love clever books like this and it is amazing how many tactics Mr. Fox uses to get what he wants. The ending is bizarre and hilarious and I hope this crazy book will amaze and entertain you like it did me. (4 and a half stars)

5. The Magic Finger: This book is the shortest out of all of these books (60 pages) but it also is probably the one I feel the most connected to because the main character and I feel the same way about hunting. This is about a young girl whose friends (The Gregg's) like to hunt, but she thinks it is absolutely horrible. Not a good thing when the little girl had the ability to turn people into animals with her magic finger. Once the Gregg's get a taste of what it feels like to be the hunted, they aren't so enthusiastic about hunting anymore. (4 stars)

I hope that you find a new Roald Dahl book that you haven't read before and enjoy it as much as I did! :)
